I am back writing and loving it. It's so nice to have the characters coming to life and virtually not giving you a minutes peace just wanting you back at the keyboard allowing them to come to life.
I found myself waiting for the doors to open at the Corpo offices this morning and scribbling notes on a flyer. Only real change now is I need glasses to see!
It's early doors but I think, even though it will be a complete new type of novel from me, set back in early 1900, that people will enjoy it. But as it should be with writing at the moment it's only me reading it and I'm enjoying the journey.
I will keep you posted.

Ten things about me
11 I’m Irish, born and reared in Ballyfermot,
Dublin.
22 I’m married to a wonderful woman called
Georgina, who has stuck with me through thick and thin.
33 I was a chancer and worked at everything from a
bank porter to planting trees before I got published. Now I teach part time in
Youthreach.
44 I am big into sport, I played a lot of different
things throughout my life and was very competitive, in the 80’s I even started
a soccer team in Ballyfermot called Anfield Athletic but nowadays its Yoga and
the odd game of table tennis for me.
55 I have had 5 Books published, my work has been
translated into French, German and Greek.
66 In the early 2000’s I worked in the Irish prison
system producing, directing and on the odd occasion starring in over ten
plays/pantomimes, I also edited two books of prisoner’s writing and started up
a theatre company for ex-offenders. The project was the subject of an RTE documentary. Sadly, because I couldn’t get a penny from the state I had to cut
my losses after two years and stop touring.
77 I have appeared on a host of Irish TV and Radio
shows as a guest, a reviewer and a weight watcher! There was a documentary
about me getting published on RTE way back in 1997.
88 I Toured 3 professional plays and had a Play in
the Dublin Fringe festival.
99 I started a Writer’s Festival in Castlecomer,
Kilkenny and edited a book of the area’s writers as well as producing 3 very
successful plays there. I do writing workshops and some have been very successful creating plays, short films and winning notable competitions along
the way.
